Phobias and Fears

Phobias are irrational fears and are also known as anxiety disorders. When they start to interfere your everyday life and happiness it can be a worthwhile making a decision to do something about it.

There are 2 main types of phobia: Simple phobias and Complex phobias. Simple phobias are fear of specific objects such as snakes, spiders, dogs, heights or enclosed areas. People react to these specific phobias to different degrees of fear, the worst ending in a total panic attack.

Complex phobias: These phobias are usually more debilitating and cause a greater negative impact on a person's life. Complex phobias include traveling on public transport, being in crowded places or leaving your home.

How Phobias can be helped with Hypnosis

There are various ways hypnosis can make a positive change to all types of phobias and fears. Because these fears are stored within our subconscious minds, they can be accesses via the unconscious mind. Once accessed these thoughts and fears can easily be changed. We can use methods such as desensitisation, CBT and NLP techniques. You will also be taught relaxation techniques, self hypnosis and receive a relaxation recording to use at home.
